Andrea Salvetti

Andrea Salvetti was born in Bozzano, Lucca on 17th August 1967. After attending the Art School of Lucca, he studied within the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Florence. In 1993, he began working as an artist-craftsman in his studio in the hills between Lucca and Versilia, where he made furniture-sculptures, paying particular attention to new technologies and the rediscovery of ancient techniques. In 1999, with the project “Con Molto Piacere”, presented at the 48th Venice Biennale, he began to explore the relationship between art and food, enabling him to combine his passions for sculpting and cooking.
