(Reims, France, 1985)

Delphine Gatinois, born in 1985 in Reims, she graduated from the École Supérieure d’Art de Lorraine (ESAL) and the Academy of Fine Arts of Metz.
Her works draw inspiration from the real world and from an imaginary mystical world drawn from her multiple experiences in West Africa. The two photo projects “Proies” and “Le Genies” analyze the human being and her links with nature, mystical cults, and popular beliefs. In 2015, she developed a project in Senegal: “Les Porteurs” which opens up an anthropological approach compared to her previous research. In 2016, she produced the first chapter of “Constelacion”, a project that questions the links between the various meanings of the word “culture” in the Veracruz region of Mexico.
