Emmanuelle Potier

(Metz, France, 1983)

Born in 1983 in the department of the French Moselle, Emmanuelle Potier is the holder of the Master in cultural exchanges between France and Italy (“Sorbonne Nouvelle” University – “Paris 3”, 2017), of the Certificate of “Plasticien Intervenant” (HEARD, Strasbourg, 2008 ) and of the National Higher Diploma of Plastic Expression (ENSAD, Nancy, 2006).
Lives and works between Metz and Lucca. Playing on various fronts, she interprets the present by giving herself the freedom to do it by creating works, conceiving concepts, writing texts and curating exhibitions. Her works are a testimony to all those things that are out of reach and integrates great recurring themes that emphasize absurdity, such as time, vanity, existence, the relationship with the other, and illusion.
In 2011, she created “Le Mètre Carré”, a structure that she has managed with passion since then, with the desire to bring the general public closer to and raise awareness of contemporary art and through which she takes care of exhibitions and busy residences, related to the current themes of our society.
