Luca Vittone

(Genoa, Italy, 1964)
He is an Italian artist and since 2006 a teacher of sculpture at the NABA (New Academy of Fine Arts) in Milan. Lives and works in Berlin. After graduating from DAMS at the University of Bologna, he moved to Milan where he began a long association with the Emi Fontana Gallery. During the Nineties, he took part in important national and international collective exhibitions. In 1994 he began a collaboration with the Nagel Gallery (Germany).
In 2000 he exhibited at P.S.1 in New York and presented “Stundàiu” an exhibition-tribute to his hometown Genoa at Palazzo Delle Esposizioni (Rome). In 2006, he presented his first retrospective “Luca Vitone. Everywhere at home. Überall zu Hause. At home everywhere.” In 2010 he collaborated with the Pinksummer Gallery of Genoa. In 2012 he held two important solo shows: “Monocromo Variationen” at the Museion of Bolzano and “Still life with landscapes and musical instruments” at the Brodbeck Foundation in Catania. In 2013 he exhibited his work “Per l’eternità” at the Italian Pavilion of Biennale di Venezia, in the Vice Versa exhibition curated by Bartolomeo Pietromarchi.
