Margherita Moscardini was born in Donoratico Castagneto Carducci, where she lives and works. She studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna concluding her studies with a thesis in Cultural Anthropology. In 2008 she attended a course in visual arts organized by the Antonio Ratti Foundation in Como, with Yona Friedman. In 2009 she attended a workshop of the Spinola Banna Foundation in Turin. From 2010 to 2012 she was a resident artist in Andrax (Mallorca), Plovdiv (Bulgaria), Paris and Rome. She has been a guest artist of the MMCA of Seoul, of the ISCP of New York and she obtained a scholarship at the Italian Academy for Advanced Studies in America, Columbia University, New York. She also won the first edition of the Pinacoteca Giovanni and Marella Agnelli award in 2007, creating a permanent intervention in the Le Vallette district house in Turin. Her work has been exhibited at the IIC in Istanbul, at SongEun ArtSpace in Seoul, at the MAXXI Foundation in Rome and Palazzo Reale, Milan.
